Before adopting, discuss the following "Responsible Pet Owner List" with the entire family:

Making a lifetime commitment even if your lifestyle changes.
Placing on your pet a collar with an ID tag with your name, address and phone number.
Making sure your pet is licensed.
Getting your pet spayed or neutered.
Ensuring that your pet receives regular health care, including treatment for diseases and illness, grooming, checkups and vaccinations.
Providing shelter, a warm bed in an enclosed area, making sure all fencings and enclosures are secure.
Providing nutritious food and fresh (unfrozen) water everyday.
Taking time and patience to train your pet.
Setting aside a time for daily exercise and play.
Supplying lots of love to your pet.
